Join us at the Portsmouth Public Library to learn about green burial — an approach that minimizes environmental impact, honors the cycle of life and works in harmony with nature. We will also cover the types of green burial cemeteries (one of which is a natural burial cemetery), other body disposition methods such as conventional burial, cremation, and human composting, and our efforts to start a natural burial cemetery on the Seacoast.

Presenter Sarah Arslanian is a caregiver and death doula living in Stratham. In 2024, she joined with other passionate locals to form Lotus and Lavender Natural Burial, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a natural burial cemetery in the Seacoast.
