Wild and Scenic Film Festival
We are proud to be a sponsor of SELT’s Wild and Scenic Film Festival at The Music Hall in Portsmouth. We’ll have a few board members and volunteers there and although this isn’t a tabling event, you know we’re always excited to talk about natural burial and will have a stash of our beautiful new brochures. We will be exploring what natural burial is, why it matters, and how our community can help bring this option to the Seacoast. This talk is open to all who are curious about gentle, land-honoring end-of-life practices. Registration link coming soon.
Natural Burial in the Seacoast - at Portsmouth Library
Join us at the Portsmouth Public Library to learn about green burial — an approach that minimizes environmental impact, honors the cycle of life and works in harmony with nature. We will also cover the types of green burial cemeteries (one of which is a natural burial cemetery), other body disposition methods such as conventional burial, cremation, and human composting, and our efforts to start a natural burial cemetery on the Seacoast.
Presenter Sarah Arslanian is a caregiver and death doula living in Stratham. In 2024, she joined with other passionate locals to form Lotus and Lavender Natural Burial, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing a natural burial cemetery in the Seacoast.

Woods, Water, and Wildlife Festival - Branch Hill Farm
Hosted by local land trust Moose Mountain Regional Greenways and Branch Hill Farm, this lovely summer festival brings together organizations driven by a shared love of nature. We’ll be there with all of our tabling materials, along with many other great organizations. Hope to see you there!
