About Us

Mission Statement

Lotus and Lavender Burial promotes environmentally sustainable interment in the Seacoast area by establishing green burial options and offering education and support around green burial practices.

Values

SUSTAINABILITY REVERENCE COLLABORATION

At Lotus and Lavender, we view our work as a service to both existing communities (especially the Seacoast area) and future generations. More importantly, the notion of service extends beyond the material practice of providing interment options. Broader philosophical commitments related to service emerge from a sense of reverence for the natural world. Green burial acknowledges the beauty and necessity of the natural world, humanity’s reliance on it , and therefore aims to return to the sustainable mechanisms inherent in nature. This aim shapes how our business practices are carried out and are further achieved through ongoing collaborations and partnerships with members of the seacoast community who share in our values and mission.
